Affordable Access Program

Missouri State - West Plains' Affordable Access program is a digital course materials delivery model. The goal of this program is to reduce cost to students, improve student success rates through Day 1 access, and provide accessible content in BrightSpace. 

Benefits include:  

• More interactive and adaptive content & tools resulting in improved student outcomes. 
• Materials are delivered to students on the first day of class within BrightSpace.
• Students are automatically billed for content and emailed detailed information including cost and links to OPT out and choose another method or format. 
• Many products include an optional companion print add-on. 
• Tier 1 tech student support can assess student barriers and support an expedited resolution.  

OPT In or Out

If you do not wish to participate in the Affordable Access program, you have until the OPT deadline to opt-out of the program. If you opt-out by the deadline given in your Welcome email, you will not be charged for the content and your access to the content will be turned off. Be aware that required access often includes homework platforms and adaptive content. The cost through the program is the same or more often less than purchasing access direct from the publisher.
